The Reader is a drama and romance film based on the German novel of the same name by Bernhard Schlink and written by David Hare. This film directed by Stephen Daldry and starring Ralph Fiennes and Kate Winslet.

This film produce by Anthony Minghella and Sydney Pollack,but both died before it was released. This film released on December 10, 2008.

KateWinslet won a number of awards including the Academy Award, BAFTA Awards and San Diego Film Critics Society for Best Actress. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
