Frida is a biography, drama, and romance film which is based on the personal and professional life of Frida Kahlo. This movie was directed by Julie Taymor and produced by Sarah Green and Salma Hayek.

Frida was released in the year of 2002 and starring by Salma Hayek, Alfred Molina, Antonio Benderes and others. Salma Hayek played the main character of Frida Kahlo who is a painter and was nominated for Oscar for best actress in 2003 also won Imagen Award award for best actress. 

Frida won the Oscar award in the category of best makeup and best music. Salma Hayek also did the soundtrack for this movie "La Bruja", "El Cascabel" in 2002.
